Day 1 - Get Out of Your Comfort Zone

Hello everybody, this is day one and you might be wondering why I'm wearing a dress because this is very unusual for me and it's even got a little bit of a fancy detail.

So yeah, why am I wearing a dress? And this is because day one, is about getting out of your comfort zone. So, what do I mean by that? Your comfort zone is where you get stuck.

It's where we feel really, really safe, where our behaviours become very predictable. But it's also where you get stuck. It’s my intention of building my confidence of trying new things because a lot of the lack of confidence that I've got and that keeps me in my comfort zone is that I'm scared of making mistakes.

So I'm going to push myself to get past that and try new things and get out of that comfort zone. What would that represent to you?

I'm going to invite you straight from the get go to get out of your comfort zone and to try something different and something new.

When you first step out of your comfort zone, you go into the free zone and you start getting anxious and you start wondering what people are going to think and how people are going to judge you. This is exactly what's going on with me as well. But then when you push past that, that's when you can start to get more evidence and you can get resources and you can get tooled up and you get evidence that you can do this and that it's okay and then from there you grow and that's what we're going for that personal growth because that feels like a personal win and we want to feel like winners. Because when we feel like winners we feel good about ourselves our vibration is higher we feel more worthy.

We feel more confident, we feel more robust as people; That we’re capable and that we can do things - hard things. To some people this might not feel hard but to me it felt really hard and that shows us that your comfort zone is subjective so I've written some ideas here that might represent a step out of your comfort zone today:

Would it be a no makeup selfie in the group?

Would it be recording a video intro of who you are where you live? 

Wearing a dress instead of jeans?

Having lunch on your own, going out and having lunch or a coffee on your own in a coffee shop or in a pub or in a restaurant? That would be a big step for me as well. I would probably take a book if I was going to do that.

Sharing something you've created with the group, a poem, a picture, a message?

Driving on a motorway?

Trying a new cuisine or recipe?

All of these things could assist you to step out of that comfort zone and grow and get a win today. So please try that on as an idea, see how you feel, see what you could bring together to assist you to step out of your comfort zone, do it and then check in and let us know what you did and how you feel.
